School Health Advisory Committee
The School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) shall act in accordance with state law as defined in TEC 28.004 and Board policy BDF(LEGAL) and BDF(LOCAL). The term of a committee member is a minimum of two years.
The School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) shall act in accordance with state law and Board policy to assist the District in ensuring that local community values are reflected in the District’s health education instruction.
Goals for 2021 - 2022
Review and make recommendations regarding Physical Education, Health Education, and Coordinated School Health curriculum, including a recent adoption of new state standards.
Review and make recommendations regarding student and staff wellness, including social reconnection.

All meetings are scheduled from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.
