  • Middle School Virtual Summer Program

    The Middle School Virtual Summer Program is designed for students in grades 6 to 8 who need targeted instruction in Reading, Math, and Science. 

    While this summer school opportunity will be offered virtually, there will be interactive lessons and support provided, opportunities to connect with a teacher online, and software platforms that can be used from home to support literacy and math. 

    This is a very targeted program, so students will be recommended for this program by their campuses.

    Dates and Times

    June 7 - June 29

    Any live/synchronous learning activities for this program will occur between 9-1:00pm. Students may choose to work on asynchronous learning activities outside of these hours.

    How to Register (Registration opens on March 29 and will close on May 28)

    • Online Registration must be completed in Google Chrome
    • Even though this program will be virtual, there is a question on the registration form that asks about transportation options. You will need to select an option even though there are no face-to-face requirements of this program. As a result, there is no transportation provided for this program.
    1. Login to Parent Portal
    2. Go to the Program Enrollment & Payments 
    3. Click on TEAMS PSS Program Enrollment & Payments.
    4. Select your child's name.
    5. Click on the Summer-Night School tab and then click Continue.
    6. Highlight the desired course/program and click Continue
    7. Review the selected course(s) and the Total Tuition Amount - then, select Continue.
    8. If there is a charge for the course, you will receive the following prompt, "Would you like to make a credit card payment?" Select Yes. Since there is no charge for the program, the registration form will not require payment information.
    9. Review Credit Card Billing Address and click the Final Review
    10. Review the selected course(s), payment information, and billing address. Please note, you will need an e-mail address listed in order to complete the online registration process.
    11. Click the Complete Registration 
    12. You will know that the transaction was successful if you receive an authorization number. If it was not successful, please verify that all of the information is correct and try again. 
    13. Click the Download button to download and print an authorization receipt.

  • Plano Remote Enrichment Program for Summer (Grades 1-7)

    The Plano Remote Enrichment Program for Summer (PREPS) offers a virtual enrichment experience for students in grades 1-7. Students currently in grades 1-4 will choose two courses from a list of options. Students in grades 5-7 will enroll in a virtual project-based course incorporating strands in science, math, technology, and the humanities. Teachers will provide virtual instruction as students navigate their courses and collaborate with other students.

    Students who register for PREPS and decide not to attend must notify the summer school office in writing (e-mail) by June 2 in order to receive a refund.

  • Computer Science Summer Bridge Virtual Program (8th Grade)

    The Plano ISD Computer Science Summer Bridge Program is open to currently enrolled 8th graders who will be 9th graders in Fall 2021. This free summer program is an online experience in which students will learn to program artificial intelligence while using the Python programming language.  Students will learn about careers in computer science, participate with a possible virtual tour of a CS-related organization, and engage with professionals from the computer science field.  

    Participation is limited and will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis. Students do not need prior experience to participate in this program.

    June 7 - June 19

    There will be an AM session (10-12pm) and a PM session (1:30-3:30pm). Students only need to register for one session.

  • Gateway Summer Engineering Camp (Virtual)

    The Gateway Summer Engineering Camp will be a virtual, yet hands-on, project-based camp designed to introduce incoming 7​th​ and 8​th​ grade middle school students to the fundamentals of STEM and Project Lead the Way (PLTW) engineering courses within Plano ISD. Certified PLTW instructors provide expert instruction in a fun, exciting environment using leading-edge technologies to sample engineering related activities and projects and get a taste of how fun it can be to be an engineer.
