Students will learn design, technology, journalism, photography, advertising, and interpersonal skills.Students have the opportunity to design page layouts, learn basic photography and computer skills, interview peers and staff, write stories and photo captions, learn time management and organization skills, and create sales campaigns. Yearbook production is a creative process that also incorporates real–world skills like working as a team and meeting deadlines. This course may not be offered on every campus.

    AVID Excel is an elective class designed for 8th grade Emergent Bilingual (EB) students at the Advanced and Advanced High proficiency levels. This course aims to prepare these students for success in advanced academic courses by focusing on academic language development, critical thinking, and study skills.
