This honors course extends on students' previous learning about algebraic relationships throughout grades 6–8 by expanding their study of linear functions, as well as introducing students to additional functional relationships.The primary focal points in Honors Algebra I include the study of linear, quadratic, and exponential functions and their related transformations, equations, and associated solutions. Students will use a variety of representations (concrete, pictorial, numerical, symbolic, graphical, and verbal), tools, and technology to model mathematical situations to solve meaningful problems.
