In an unprecedented achievement, a staggering 115 students from Plano Independent School District (Plano ISD) have qualified for the prestigious 2024 Texas Forensics Association (TFA) State Tournament, setting an all-time record for the district. The TFA State Tournament, renowned as one of the largest events of its kind, will witness over 1,500 students from all five TFA regions converging to showcase their exceptional skills in speech, debate, and performance events.

To secure a spot at this year's State Tournament, Plano ISD students had to demonstrate their prowess by earning a minimum of ten points in at least one TFA event. The competition is fierce, as qualifiers in various categories also stand a chance to be awarded college scholarships. The journey to this esteemed tournament requires an immense dedication of time and effort, with the average qualifier committing hundreds of practice hours to master their specific event(s).
