• 2017 High/Senior High Summer Program

    The purpose of the extended summer program for grades 9-12 is to provide high school students with the opportunity to master the essential elements of incomplete/failed courses, to accelerate their high school programs, and to enrich their experiences with non-credit courses.

    Tuition

    Tuition is $230 per session. Tuition for out of district students (those students not residing in the Plano ISD attendance zone) is $460 per session. The tuition may be paid by cash, money order, cashier's check, Master Card, Visa, or Discover Card. No personal checks will be accepted.

    Transportation

    Bus transportation is provided from each PISD high school and senior high school. The bus schedule will be available in the counselors' offices the last week of the 2016-17 school year.

Registration

  • Students may enroll beginning in March. Students who do not pre-register must register June 8 at Plano West Senior High School. Your school counselor is the best resource for summer school questions. The Student Registration Form should be obtained from the home school counselor. The counselor must indicate which course the student will be taking and must sign the application. No registration form will be accepted without a counselor's signature.

    To register online, the parent must go to Parent Portal login and must have completed the student emergency information. Payment must be made via credit card.  The counselor must have pre-approved the student for the course(s). Online registration will be available beginning March 20.

    For students that did not pre-register, on June 8 at Plano West Senior High, walk-in registration will be available. 

    Dates:

    • First Session: June 12 - June 29, 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
    • Second Session: July 5 - July 21, 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
    • Session Break: June 30, July 3-4

    Note:On the last day of each session, students will be released at 10:00 a.m.

    Honors and AP courses wil not be offered in either session of summer school.

EOC (End of Course)

  • The purpose of this program (grades 8-12) is to provide accelerated instruction to students who did not meet the satisfactory standard on the STAAR End of Course Exam (EOC).  Courses offered are Algebra I, English I, English II, Biology and US History.  There is no fee for students only needing EOC accelerated instruction.  Tuition is $230 for any student who failed the course.  Bus transportation is provided from each PISD high school and senior high school. The bus schedule will be available in the counselors' offices the last week of the 2016-2017 school year.
