ALL 2023 Summer Programs have concluded. Plano ISD summer programs will return in 2024.
- Plano ISD's summer learning program offers a variety of high school programs.
- All program applications can be found online.
- Parents may wish to talk with their child's counselor to determine the program best suited for summer study.
- As a reminder, summer school programs are dependent upon staffing and enrollment.

Plano ISD Summer Dance Intensive | Grades 7-12
Program Description:
- The Plano ISD Summer Dance Intensive is a week-long program offering dancers in grades 7-12 (for the 2022-2023 school year) the opportunity to strengthen technique and cultivate personal artistry in an exciting, challenging, and nurturing environment.
- Staff will engage the dancers in a variety of styles including ballet, jazz, hip hop, and more.
- Each morning will start with a ballet class, while the afternoons will consist of classes in a variety of genres to provide a well-rounded dance training experience.
- Students will also explore the styles of African Dance and Ballet Folklorico.
Eligible Students:
- Current Plano ISD students who will be in grades 7-12

High School EOC (End of Course) Program
Program Description:
- The purpose of our EOC Summer Program is to provide targeted instruction for students who did not meet the satisfactory standard on at least one of the EOC exams (English 1, English 2, Algebra 1, Biology, US History).
Eligible Students:
- Students are recommended for this program by their campuses based on their performance on the EOC exams.
Dates: June 5 - June 28 (Monday - Thursday) Campuses will close June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.
Times: 9:00 am - 2:15 pm
Location: Williams High School
Cost: There is no cost to attend the summer school program.
Transportation:
- Busing is provided from the students’ neighborhood high school campus. Please keep in mind that the neighborhood campus may not be the campus the student attends during the school year.
- Summer bus routes will be posted May 15.
Registration:
- Students who need to attend will be contacted by their Guidance Counselor and will pre-register.
- Students will complete final registration in-person at Williams. If you need assistance, please contact your child's campus.

High School ESL Summer Program
Program Description:
- The purpose of this program is to provide ESL students in grades 9-12 with credit recovery and/or acceleration opportunities.
Eligible Students:
- This program is exclusively for ESL students who need to recover credit or take courses for initial credit to bridge the gap between their current academic standing and where they should be in terms of their graduation cohort.
NOTE: Students who are not lacking credits and simply want to advance by taking summer courses need to register with Plano ISD's eSchool Program. For registration and tuition information related to the eSchool program, please visit the eSchool website. Counselors do not pre-approve eSchool courses. Once students register for an eSchool course, a notice is sent to their counselor for approval.

High School Virtual Summer School (Credit Recovery)
Program Description:
- The purpose of this program is to provide high school students who are lacking credits with opportunities to accelerate their academic progress.
Eligible Students:
- Students who need to recover credit to bridge the gap between their current academic standing and where they should be in terms of their graduation cohort.
NOTE: Students who simply want to advance by taking summer courses need to register with Plano ISD's eSchool Program. For registration and tuition information related to the eSchool program, please visit the eSchool website. Counselors do not pre-approve eSchool courses. Once students register for an eSchool course, a notice is sent to their counselor for approval.
Dates: June 5 - June 28 (Monday - Thursday)
Times: Any live/synchronous learning activities for this program will occur between 8:00 am-12:00 pm. Students may choose to work on asynchronous learning activities outside of these hours.
Locations:
- This program is virtual. Students will be enrolled in online courses.
Cost:
- $100 per semester course*
*Students eligible for Reduced Lunch will pay $60 per semester course. Students eligible for Free Lunch will pay $40 per semester course.
No refunds will be issued after close of business on June 5th.

- Registration closed June 2, 2023 ~ To late register please email summerschool@pisd.edu, and include your child's name, ID, and a good contact number. We will call you this week to register your child and collect payment over the phone. Late registration ends on June 7, 2023.

Plano ISD CenterStage Theatre Camp | Grades 9-12
Program Description:
Registration for this program closed on April 28.
The purpose of this camp is to provide an opportunity for theatrical growth through guest artists and local professionals who provide classes in acting, voice, dance, and technical theatre, culminating in a festival of theatre productions for the high school students of Plano ISD.
Eligible Students:
Current Plano ISD students in grades 8-11
Dates: Friday, June 16 - Saturday, June 24
Times: 8:30am - 5:30pm (daily)
Locations:
- Plano East Senior High School
- Robbie & Lynore Robinson Fine Arts Center
Registration:
- Due to limitations in time and the number of cast members in a show, students MUST be present for the ENTIRE camp experience.
- A limited number of 60 acting and 25 technical participants will be accepted.

- Registration opens on April 3 and closes on April 28.
