• New Employees

  • You will receive benefits enrollment information within your first week of work, and you can also access the details in the benefits packets linked below. The packets explain all the benefit programs offered through the Plano ISD and contain enrollment instructions.

    Enrollment Links

    1. To enroll in benefits (or to decline coverage): Login to the TEAMS Employee Service Center to complete your online enrollment. Your online selections must be completed within 31 calendar days after your employment start date.

    2. For help with enrolling online, please refer to the Benefits Enrollment Guide in your benefits packet and watch step-by-step instructional videos.

    3. Life insurance paper application forms must be returned to the Plano ISD Benefits office within 31 calendar days after your employment start date.

    When does my Coverage Start?

    Medical plan - Either 1) the 1st of the month after your employment start date; or 2) your employment start date.  Option 1 is the most common choice.  Option 2 will charge you a full-month premium for the first partial-month of coverage.

    All other plans - the 1st of the month after your employment start date

    Will I receive ID Cards?

    Make sure the HR department has your most current address!  ID cards will be mailed to your home address.  They can take 2-3 weeks to arrive, but will be available earlier through the companies' web sites.

    What if I don't need any coverage?

    You must use our online enrollment system to officially decline coverage within the 31-day enrollment window.
