2025 Plano East Senior High School Graduation Ceremony

Location: Ford Center at The Star in Frisco.

• 7:00 p.m. Plano East Senior High School
• The ceremony will last approximately 2 hours.

Graduation Regalia

Plano East traditionally has reserved graduation regalia to only a customized Plano East black cap and gown with a gold band and Panthers on the sleeves.  No decorations are allowed to be added to the issued cap and gown.  Students that fall in these categories are allowed to add recognition of their accomplishments:

1. Gold GPA Cord for those that attain a 3.6 cumulative GPA.
2. Silver-AP Cord for those who take four AP courses and the exams that go with that course.
3. IB stole-achieving IB diploma candidate status
4. Health Science Red Cord-earned for completion of the Health and Science program
5. NHS Stole-those that have successfully maintained status as an NHS member
6. AVID Medal
7. National Art Honor Society Cord
8. ASL Cord
9. JROTC/ Enlisted 
10. Spanish Honor Society
11. Journalism Honor Society

Students are not allowed to add any other items to the graduation regalia.  Any additional items will be confiscated or the students will not be allowed to walk.

Attire

• Dress for graduation is business casual.
• Girls are expected to wear dresses or slacks and shirts (no T-shirts) with appropriate shoes.  (No purses allowed)
• Boys are expected to wear slacks, a collared shirt, and appropriate closed-toed shoes and socks. 
• Beach sandals or flip-flops are not allowed. 
• Students must be properly attired to participate in the graduation ceremony.

All graduation Regalia is ordered through Jostens.  You can make these orders at this link.  Any order at this time will incur an individual shipping charge and orders will be delivered directly to your home.  Orders within the last week before graduation will most likely be taken to the graduation event for pickup then.

Distribution of Graduation Tickets - 8 per graduate – Students must present a photo I.D. and sign for receipt of tickets.  Students also must have all items cleared.  Students can check the not clear list by checking this link coming soon.  Students must be signed into their PISD account to view.  You will search for your student ID by clicking Control + F and typing your ID number in.  This list is being updated daily and will be finalized on May 21 by midnight.  Students and families should check on Wednesday, May 21st to ensure they are not on the list that would keep them from getting graduation tickets.

Graduation tickets not picked up by Tuesday, May 27 at 10 am will be offered for redistribution on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Students wanting to pick up extra tickets will need to come to the East front office at 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 27th.  Tickets will be given until they are all given out or at noon when ticket distribution and the front office will be closed for lunch.
