• Board Member Elisa Klein

    Elisa Klein, a proud Plano resident, community advocate and small business owner, was elected to her first term in office in May 2025. Born in El Salvador, Ms. Klein moved to Texas when her father, an engineer, joined Texas Instruments. She is a graduate of Plano East Senior High School and holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Texas Tech University.

    Ms. Klein and her husband, Michael, own an IT consulting business in Plano and have two children attending Plano ISD schools. She has served in numerous leadership roles within the district, including Vice President of the Plano ISD Education Foundation Board and key roles in organizing their annual SKI Plano (Supporting Kids in Plano) event, including event chair. 

    Ms. Klein’s civic involvement includes serving as an executive board member for the North Texas Disability Chamber of Commerce, commissioner for the City of Plano Cultural Arts Commission and mentor with the Plano Chamber of Commerce. She is also a graduate and class speaker of Leadership Plano.

    Professionally, Ms. Klein has worked in public policy, contract negotiation and community engagement with the City of Dallas, City of Lubbock and the Texas House of Representatives. She has also held roles in healthcare procurement and compliance.

    An active volunteer, Ms. Klein has held multiple PTA leadership positions, helping secure a National PTA School of Excellence designation and a STEM + Families Science Festival Grant. She is a recipient of the 2020 Life Membership Award for her dedication to public education. Her advocacy during Texas Legislative sessions has made her a respected voice for students and families.
