    Meeting Welcome

    The meeting opened at 6:12pm. with a welcome by Deputy Superintendent Johnny Hill who thanked everyone for their participation and work on this important process.  Deputy Superintendent Lisa Wilson then conducted an ice breaker so that tablemates can get to know one another.

    Agenda

    Sheri Sides reviewed the charge with the group and had a committee attendee read the charge to the group.. Dr. Helvey then reviewed the following agenda and reminded the committee that the focus for these meetings are the elementary schools:

    • Welcome back (check in QR code)! 
    • Charge
    • Group norms
    • Requests for information follow up
    • Outcome & table group instructions
    • Table group work
    • Group reports & committee consensus
    • Communication: requests for information 
    • Next steps

    Table Group Work

    Each table group will review the efficiency framework for each elementary school in the central cluster feeder pattern consisting of:

    • Elementary Schools Maps
    • Student Enrollment & Capacity Analysis by Feeder Pattern
    • Campus Facility Assessment
    • Operating Costs per Student
    • The group will use a polling application to assess and work toward consensus. Access the application with a mobile phone or device. A QR code will be provided to access the application.
    • Table groups will discuss the information and options but polling will be by individual members through the application.

    Many questions arose regarding some of the considered campuses.  Members then continued with the process set by the Board.

    One question was submitted from the last meeting using the RFI process relating to ease of use of the Long Range Facility Planning website. 

    Next Steps

    The committee was instructed to use the QR codes that were given to them to ask any additional questions should they arise, and these questions will be answered/ reviewed at the next meeting.
