Meeting Welcome

The meeting opened at 6:09pm. with a welcome by Superintendent Dr. Theresa Williams who thanked everyone for their participation.

Agenda

Sheri Sides of N2Learning then reviewed the group norms and the charge.

Dr. Ken Helvey reviewed the new polling process going forward when considering campus closures.

Table Group Work

Our Demographers Rocky Gardiner and Matthew Cluck of Zonda Education were in attendance who explained how the maps were created using current and future boundary lines and to review all possible campus closure options.  Zonda Education then explained how the campus capacities would adjust after each scenario.

After the demographic presentation, the group divided for individual table discussions regarding each campus change.  After all discussions and many questions to both Plano ISD administration and Zonda Education, a poll was taken for each campus under review in all 3 clusters and a consensus was reached for all polls.

Next Steps

Plano ISD Administration will continue to work with demographers to work towards the best outcome for the District.

The committee was instructed to use the QR codes to ask any additional questions should they arise and to review the Long Range Facility Planning webpage to review information presented at committee meetings.  

Dr. Williams then closed out the meeting stating the committee will continue campus review at our next meeting.
