I have been a digital learning specialist in Plano ISD since the summer of 2002. Prior to that I was a classroom teacher at the elementary level. I'm a dedicated change agent for digital literacy and digital citizenship as well as a passionate advocate for all students. The absoulte best part of this job is working with students and teachers. They inspire me and I always learn from their voices and perspectives. It's an honor to serve them and I will always advocate for them.

My passion for learning has led me to a Master of Science in Computer Education and Cognitive Systems with an Instructional Technology endorsement as well as a Master of Education in Educational Administration. I'm a Texas certified principal and a certified technology director. Additionally, I am an ISTE Certified Educator, a Google Certified Educator Level 1 & 2, and a Google Certified Trainer.

I am proud to have been selected to serve on the team of 12 educators in the Technical Working Group to refresh the ISTE Standards for Educators. I was also selected to serve on the Technical Working Group to refresh the ISTE Standards for Coaches. I was featured on Region 10's Digital Radio Learning Podcast to discuss the work and how to integrate the standards. Also, I served on the leadership team of ISTE's Education Leader PLN. At the 2017 annual ISTE Conference & Expo, I was asked to deliver the Ignite speech before the keynote speaker. You can watch here! I presented again at ISTE 2018 in Chicago about aligning the ISTE Educator and Student Standards. 

My husband and I have two sons, ages 8 and 10, and we have a lot of fun together! We are a very techie family and we use technology in creative ways every single day. Our home is always busy with creative art projects, reading and writing stories, science experiments, baseball practice, soccer practice, and endless laughter.
