• Immersive Reader

    The Immersive Reader Chrome Extension will read text to students. 

    Instructions for Students

    1. Install the Immersive Reader Chrome Extension.

    2. Pin it to the Chrome bar for quick access.

    3. Select text on a web page that you want read aloud to you.

    4. Right-click on that selected text and choose "Help me read this".

    5. A new window opens and you'll click the play button to let Immersive read the text to you. 

    Help

    If the student does not hear the text being read aloud, try this:

    • Check that the volume is turned up on the Chromebook
    • Check that the mute button in the browser is allowed.
